Spring Hill College is pleased to announce that it will host TEDxSpringHillCollege, its first official TEDx event, from 3p.m. – 6p.m. on February 17, 2017.

TEDxSpringHillCollege is an officially licensed, independently organized TEDx event which will feature a variety of talks from Mobile community leaders as well as Spring Hill College faculty and students.

TEDx is a smaller branch of the larger, world-renowned TED corporation, which aims to introduce innovative discussion through short “talks” based on a broad theme. The theme of TEDxSpringHillCollege is “Shaping Tomorrow.”  The event’s theme echoes Spring Hill College’s mission of creating leaders, and preparing them to go out into the world and work toward a better future. We seek to provide talks that will encourage people to think about how they can shape tomorrow and how best to make an impact.

The event, organized by the college’s Student Government Association and sponsored by the Center for Student Involvement, the Career Development Office, and the Office for the Dean of Student Affairs, will feature talks given in front of an audience of approximately 100 people and will be filmed for potential future use on TED’s website.
